me is margie of wells fargo, sandy duncan and chris bertleson and rick santelli. thanks for joining us. rick, i'm going to kick this off with you. what are traders saying ahead of tomorrow's election? >> they certainly expect a lot more movement in markets tomorrow and the following day. today was a go nowhere range day. even in the stocks they move into positive territory. dollar index has been firmly but lightly in positive territory with little turnover. same with the euro. many traders are saying, you know, it was momentum that propelled the giants in baseball. so, they're putting a lot of stock in momentum, which may be a positive for the challenger in the form of mitt romney but everybody has their own unique foibles how they want to proceed on the trading side. traders aren't giving me anything solid as a glimpse into who wins but they seem optimistic they think the fiscal cliff will be dealt with, but it won't be dealt with until next year and dealt with retrospectively. >> i would agree, that's what people are saying now. chris, regardless, you're saying you're staying neut

for the battleground states. >> we'll see you then. people who lost their homes in super storm sandy are trying to salvage what they can as they brace for the possible noreaster. a million people remain without power one week after the storm. >> commuting is difficult with gas shortages and mass transit problems and now another storm heading to the area. one homeowner who barely made it out alive. >> reporter: good evening. there are so many people in this hard hit community who have lost absolutely everything they own. this afternoon we spoke to one man who clung to life but using his roof top as a life raft. he holds up one of the few possessions he didn't lose. >> my military uniform. >> the father of two survived a wrack and 9/11. but the water from the storm was almost too much. >> got close enough we didn't have to be in the water too long. a couple strokes. jumped from the dining room table on to the roof. stayed on the roof for about an hour. >> you floated out of here on your neighbor's roof. >> picked the home up off its foundation and dropped it back down about a half mile from here.

. remember, those are the areas just hit by sandy. a lot of the dunes and protection gone from the coast, so it allows the water to flow more freely inland. areas shaded in yellow, medium impact. areas in green there, lower impact. as you get toward western maryland, west central maryland and even areas of central virginia. so for right now, possibility of some isolated inland snow. some inland snow, isolated slick spots, perhaps even for thursday morning. coastal problems indeed. that is what we're looking at right now. if this storm system tracks more to the east, though, we could get nothing more than just some rain around here. as far as election day weather, we'll have more on that. right now, it doesn't look as though we'll have any worries coming up. we'll talk about how cold it will be tomorrow and how much wind will be around the area. and of course, we'll have much more on the impact of the midweek storm coming up in a couple of minutes. >>> it's the final day of campaigning before election day. both presidential candidates are focused on the all-important state of ohio. president
